Forum
of Health Ministers of Southeast Europe will be held on 13th and 14th October
in Banja Luka.
Participation
of health ministers and senior officials from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina,
Bulgaria, Croatia, the Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldova, Romania,
Serbia, Slovenia and Israel is expected.

The
theme of the Third Ministerial Forum is “Health in All Policies of the Countries
of South-eastern Europe: A Shared Goal and Responsibility."
The
Ministers will, during the Forum, consider ways to include other important
sectors in reducing mortality and disease rates in their countries, it was
confirmed from the Ministry of Health of RS.
Over
the past ten years all countries have closely cooperated with the World Health
Organization (WHO) for Europe in the framework of formal regional cooperation
on public health i.e. South-eastern Europe Health Network (SEEHN).
The
meeting is being jointly organized by the Regional Cooperation Council, SEEHN,
the Council of Europe, the Development Bank of the Council of Europe and WHO
Europe.
Among
the participants are also the European Commission, the International Organization
for Migration and policy creators from different sectors.
On
Friday, 14 October, it is expected that the ministers will sign the Banja Luka
Charter at the Forum, which will indicate their commitment to work on the
approach to "health in all policies".
