Metal industry Arma in Bač will put in operation two new lines for production cold-rolled wire of 4 mm and 16 mm in September and, thus, complete the offer for building companies.

Marko Jovešić, the Chairman of the Executive Board of Arma in Bač, told eKapija that the equipment from Hungary should arrive within next 24 days, while installation should be finished in 60 days. The value of this investment, as he said, is about 700,000 EUR, and they count that this investment will increase the production and sales by minimum 50%.

- The factory is in the middle of intensive development regardless of the crisis, which is a condition for the company to survive in the market. In addition to traditional production of wire goods for the needs of the construction industry, a modern automated steel-bending unit has been put in operation, and we have also renewed the production of tractor cabins. We used to produce 10,000 cabins a year, while the current estimate is that the annual production will amount to 1,000 -1,500 cabins. We work for IMT, IMR, Mahindra and some other manufacturers. The tractor procurement subsidizing campaign has given good results.

Having in mind the situation in our market, Arma started exporting its goods to the markets of Montenegro, Croatia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where it sells over 40% of production.

- We have been surviving in the market through development cycles for forty years now. Our company and Futog-based Milan Vidak used to be the main pillars of the wire industry in Serbia. We are still working hard to remain the leaders - said our interlocutor who received the 2010 Business Partner Award last night.
