VIG Plaza, a contemporary business building of A class in New Belgrade's Block 11A, will receive the first tenants in June, while insurance company Wiener Stadtische plans to start moving to its new home in May. Vienna Insurance Group invested over 42m EUR in the eight-floor building at about 22,000 square meters, which belongs to the class of highly automated "intelligent buildings".
- We expect VIG Plaza to obtain the use permit in mid-April. Takeover of the facility from main contractor Imperial Gradnja is currently underway. VIG Plaza will be the new headquarters of insurance company Wiener
Stadtische, which will occupy about 4,500 square meters (three floors) in that building. Parking lot (131 indoor and 24 outdoor parking places) will be settled on two underground floors at about 5,500 square meters. Stores and a bank office will be situated on the ground floor, while a cafe restaurant will be on the gallery - said Svetlana
Smiljaniĉ, the CEO of VIG Real Estate, and pointed out that total overground surface of the facility was 16,000 square meters.
As Ms. Smiljaniĉ explained, many foreign companies have already expressed interest in renting the space because of the good price-quality ratio that is offered. The smallest facility for rent will have the surface of 230 square meters, while those who need more space will be able to rent the whole floor of 1,300 square meters.

- The main characteristics of VIG Plaza are exclusive location, excellent infrastructure, modern design and comfortable space. In order for Western European standards for A class to be satisfied, the materials and equipment of world-renowned manufacturers were built in the facility. According to the level of equipment and the quality of materials, VIG Plaza is definitely one of the most modern business centers in broader region - said Ms. Smiljaniĉ.
Vig Plaza is the first business building of A class in the region to have its own source of geothermal energy. There is a well for exploitation of subterranean waters for the purpose of use of such energy potential, and it is situated in the vicinity of the facility. Geothermal heating pump will be using the energy of earth and subterranean waters to heat and cool the building.
VIG Plaza will be remotely controlled by means of the central control system with the focus on energy efficiency, which will ensure safe and comfortable working environment. In addition to energy saving, the system will also significantly reduce pollution.
Ms. Smiljaniĉ said that VIG Real Estate had excellent cooperation with company Delight whose architects would be giving suggestions for furnishing of the space and helping the tenants adopt the new space to the needs of their businesses the best they can.
