Trimo's modular sports facilities are completely equipped multipurpose facilities for sports and business purposes, with accompanying equipment and sports requisites, and they can also be a permanent solution to the problem of schools in Serbia that do not have gyms. In association with professor Boris Leskovac and the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana, Trimo developed the new concept of modular sports facilities (MSF) after 18 months of work on the project and several years of market research.

For example, it takes approximately 6 months for construction of a modular sports facility at 2,200 square meters for handball, with 700 seats, while the user of the facility also gets all the accompanying equipment, from stands to sports requisites - at his own choice. Depending on the standard and level of construction, mechanical, electrical and other installations, the price of construction ranges between 800 and 1,200 EUR per square meter at average.

- By researching the market we came to the information that 86 primary and secondary schools on the territory of Belgrade do not have their own gyms, while the majority of other schools have gyms whose dimensions do not satisfy the needs of students. On the other hand, many sports in Serbia can not develop further without adequate sports halls. According to the latest indexes, two thirds of adult citizens of Serbia spend their leisure time sitting, while only 25.5% of Serbs are physically active. All that was the reason for us to launch the project for construction of modular sports facilities in Serbia and offer the investors, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Sport and Youth, sports associations and others a permanent solution to the problem of sports halls - said Vladimir Kovačević, Chief Architect in Trimo Engineering.

- The advantage of MSF lies in the fact that they enable simple phase planning and construction, so that their consequential expansion is possible as well. What is also guaranteed is efficient and optimal use of space for sports activities. MSF also comprise all accompanying premises, as well as the space for commercial purposes, while the concept of modular facilities itself reduces the costs of construction and minimizes the costs of maintenance - Vladimir Kovačević from Trimo Engineering added.
