The first expo of car components of Southeast Europe will be held between May 19 and 21 at Šumadija Fair in Kragujevac, and it is expected to gather over 30 manufacturers and to be the opportunity for about 150 meetings of potential partners. The organizer of the event whose aim is to present the Balkans as an "outsourcing" destination for big automotive companies is the Western Balkans Automotive Industry Excellence Center, which was formed within the Regional Chamber of Commerce Kragujevac.
- This expo is not going to have the character of an exhibition because its mission is to connect and introduce the representatives of big automotive companies to potential partners in the Balkans, that is, suppliers of car equipment, chambers of commerce and all corresponding centers. The primary aim of the Center, which was formed last year, is to make it possible for as many companies as possible to appear in the global automobile market and find strategic partner through the regional network. Necessary condition is establishment and achievement of the series of standards that a company needs to meet in order to enter the system of global chains of suppliers - Dušan Puača,

As it was announced earlier, the Excellence Center should connect Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania into a large business network and make the companies from these countries the partners of big automotive companies such as Fiat in Kragujevac and Volkswagen in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The activities that are planned by that project include: training of employees, work on innovations and marketing and creation of a professional network of manufacturers who would stick to clear standards of quality. The keyword in this project is synergy.
The first expo of car components is backed by SIEPA, the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, the City of Kragujevac, SECAP, SPARK.
The expected participants in the expo are the representatives of Russian MAZ, MAN, Simos, Grah Automotive,
as well as the representatives of all big auto clusters on the territory of the Balkans and the chambers of commerce.
