Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetković suggested his Kuwaiti counterpart sheik Naser al Mohammed
that they should cooperate in construction of infrastructure in Serbia. The first project that Cvetković offered is the project for construction of a part of Belgrade's railway hub.
This project is a part of the package of infrastructure project worth 800m USD, which is the subject of negotiations between the Government of Serbia and Russian Federation for some time.
- The Kuwaiti are very interested in participating in construction of the Belgrade railway hub through the Kuwaiti Development Fund, as well as in construction of Serbian hospitals and schools - people from the Government of Serbia told Novosti.
- By the way, the delegation of Serbia has already submitted the complete documentation related to the Belgrade railway hub to the Kuwaiti counterparts.
On the other hand, the negotiations with Russian Federation on infrastructure projects are in real crisis. In spite of the intentions of the representatives of the Government of Serbia to represent the whole story about "Russian billion" as still very relevant, the fact is that the new talks about that are not at sight yet.
As Novosti learns, the negotiations with Russian Federation on realization of the infrastructure projects have not been successful from the very beginning. The unofficial information is that Russians ask that quite high interests be paid on aforementioned loans, as well as maximum engagement of their building operative in the approved projects.
