Croatian Atlantic Group plans to rent a land in Vršac in order to have a new factory for production of effervescent multivitamin preparations built in that town. Croatian media speculate that the final aim is export of these preparations to Russia.

According to daily newspaper Poslovni Dnevnik, Atlantic, which bought Multivita from Vršac-based Hemofarm few years ago, plans to buy about 12,000 square meters in Vojvodina for construction of a new factory.

Atlantic Group produces Multivita's granules in Croatia and exports them to Serbia where they are packed as well.

- The plan for construction of a new factory in Vršac anticipates returning of production of effervescent vitamin preparations to Serbia, while Atlantic should get the status of domestic manufacturer and, thus, be enabled to export the products to Russia in accordance with the Free Trade Agreement, which was signed earlier between Russia and Serbia - Croatian business websites announced today (March 8, 2010).
