On the occasion of the opening of the first Serbian mother milk bank in the Neonatalogy Institute in Belgrade, the plaques were ceremoniously awarded to the participants in the Let's Run for The Babies campaign organized by Vračar's authorities.
– I am very happy that we collected funds and opened a mother milk bank in the Neonatalogy Institute, which is the first in Serbia and the region. I want to thank to the Belgrade Marathon, the donors who significantly contributed to achievement of our goal, and to all those who ran at the Belgrade Marathon within the Let's Run for The Babies campaign – the Mayor of Vračar, Branimir Kuzmanović, pointed out.
The Director of the Belgrade Marathon, Dejan Nikolić, said that every marathon had positive economic effect on the cities hosts. Based on the experiences from some large cities, it is obvious that marathons help raise awareness of the need for helping people. He invited people to launch the initiative for realization of similar humanitarian campaign at this year's Belgrade Marathon as well.
