
- Galenika's new factory, worth 48m EUR, is completed. The first drugs from this Zemun-based factory, which will employ 200 people, should be expected in mid-2010 - people from Galenika told Novac.
Final testing of equipment and training of staff are underway, and they will be followed by technical reception of the facility, issuing of the license for production and transfery of technologies, which is schedulled for April.
The new factory's annual capacity will be 2bn pills and 100m capsules. The projected capacity of 100m packs can be increased by 25%. In addition to Galenika's products, the new factory will be also producing the drugs from the palettes of products of the world-renowned pharmaceutical companies Abot, Roche and Alensa.
