(Karađorđeva Street in Šabac)
The city square in Šabac, between Cara Dušana Street and Karađorđeva Street, should get a brand new look in 2011, and Belgrade-based company "Mašinoprojekt kopring" has started elaboration of preliminary projects.
As Vladimir Lutrov from "Mašinoprojekt kopring" told "eKapija", construction of a three-level underground garage, business facilities and city stage at the square is in the pipeline, as well as organization of the square itself.
- The garage will have about 300 parking places. Construction of public and business facilities with up to two floors and at gross surface of about 4,000 square meters in certain part of the square is also in the pipeline, and they should comprise a gallery, small tourist center, maybe even library, reading rooms and other contents of public interest - said Lutrov who is in charge of that project.
According to his words, the square will be reconstructed - paved and refreshed by greenery, a fountain... The city stage will be an outdoor space at 200-250 square meters, and it will be the place where various manifestations will be held during the summer days.
Elaboration of the preliminary project is financed by Public Company for City Land Management of Šabac, and total surface of the square is about 1.5 ha.
