- Construction of an additional floor on the top of the existing bawling room within Sports center "Sajmište" is in the pipeline for year 2010, as well as the works on hydro-insulation of the roof, laying of floor and ceiling covers, procurement of mobile equipment for sound and stage lighting system in "Spens". We also plan to complete implementation of the information system and installation of video surveillance system - Vladimir Simović, the Assistant Technology Manager of public company Sports and Business Center "Vojvodina", announced.
As Ljiljana Ćulibrk, the Assistant Finance Manager, explained, the economic crisis in 2009 affected the operations of public company SBC "Vojvodina", so that the projected incomes for that year were not reached.
- Previous year was the investment year because 153m RSD were spent for these purposes. Total incomes amounted to 535m RSD, while expenses were at the level of 609m RSD, which means that the company's losses at the end of the year were about 70m RSD - said Ms. Ćulibrk.
According to her words, the company's outstanding claims amount to 133m RSD, about 22m RSD of which are the debts of sport clubs.
- Because of the city budget that was adopted at the last meeting of the City Assembly, our subventions were reduced from 80 to 60m RSD. The City Administration for Sport expressed the need for about 33% smaller number of training hours for the clubs, and that will make it possible for us to prepare much richer offer of recreational programmes for our fellow citizens - said Zvonimir Kaprocki, the CEO of public company SBC "Vojvodina".
In addition to 490 sports manifestations that took place in "Spens" in 2009, he also pointed to some cultural events that took place in that center, including "Novosadsko proleće", "Tesla
fest", flower markets, employment fairs, as well as numerous concerts that were given by, among the rest,
Severina, Miroslav Ilić, Legende, Riblja čorba, Piloti and Van Gog.
