Contact Stock Exchange and direct talks between German and Serbian companies from the automotive and metal-processing industries were held yesterday (November 24, 2009) in Regional Chamber of Commerce Kragujevac.
The visit of German companies was initiated by the Federal Ministry of Economy and Technology of Germany, while the organizer is company "Spelleken" from Germany.
The delegation of Germany comprised the representatives of companies "ZF
Friedrichshafen AG", "Georgsmarienhutte", "Robert Bosch AG" and "Schott
Glas". Serbia was presented by several companies, including "Unior Components", "Filip Kljajić", "Zastava kovačnica",
"Zastava kamioni", "Metal sistemi", "Gomma Line", "Grah Automotive",
NIKOM, "Prva petoletka" and "Orion".
The introductory speech of Dušan Puača, the President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce (RPK) Kragujevac, was followed by the presentation held by Predrag Lučić, the CEO of the Central Serbia Investment Promotion and Business Support Agency, about the work of the Agency and the Western Balkans Automotive Industry Excellence Center, which was opened in September 2009.
This meeting also represented the beginning of realization of activities of the Western Balkans Automotive Industry Excellence Center, of which task is to position Kragujevac and Serbia as attractive investment destinations, primarily for automotive industry.
On that occasion, the officials of RPK Kragujevac and the Western Balkans Automotive Industry Excellence Center spoke to entrepreneurs about the organization of the first trade fair of car parts manufacturers, which will be held in May 2010.
