Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development
(OECD) is going to pay more attention to the needs of small and mid-sized
enterprises in Serbia and Belgrade in the following period, and that is why the
representatives of Belgrade-based SME will take part in the seminar in Udine on
October 21st, and in the OECD educational center in Trent.
At the meeting with Sergio Arzenije,
the Director of the OECD Directorate for Entrepreneurship, SME and Local
Development, Milan Janković, the President of the Chamber of Commerce of
Belgrade and honorable President of Serbian SME Association, pointed to
significance of OECD's support to small and mid-sized enterprises in Belgrade
and Serbia.
It has been agreed that, in addition
to existing cooperation in the OECD LEED partner club programmes in field of
regional economic development, in which Serbia participates although it is not a
member of OECD, the cooperation should also be established in other programmes
of this OECD's Directorate. The Chamber and OECD also agreed on concrete
cooperation in education and publishing.
The Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade
will become a partner in publishing OECD's books and publications, which
represent one of the most relevant sources of information for large number of
entrepreneurs and statesmen all around the world. Publications in field of
management, reports and analyses, macroeconomic indices, as well as
recommendations published by this respectable international institution, will
also be published in Serbian language in the future.
It has also been agreed that small
and mid-sized enterprises members of the Chamber take part in the development
programmes that are run by this OECD's Directorate, which will be both partner
and co-organizer of International conference that is organized by the Chamber
