Sremska Mitrovica's second Health Center got a mini infusion center yesterday (September 9, 2009), which is the second center of the kind in Vojvodina, after Zrenjanin, and the fourth of the kind in Serbia, after Kragujevac and Niš.
The infusion center was officially put in operation by Mayor Branislav Nedimović and the Head of the Department of City Administration, Nataša Kopčić, who said that the city had provided 0.5m RSD for the opening of that center, while major share of equipment had been donated by company "Goodwill Pharma".
- Investment in prophylaxis is the investment in better health care. Large number of citizens are gravitating towards health centers, and this infusion center is one step further in provision of medical services when it comes to receiving therapy - says
Nataša Kopčić.
- We often have such campaigns, and we have recognized the need for such center in Mitrovica, so that we've decided to donate necessary equipment - says Miluš Mičanović, the CEO of "Goodwill Pharma".
According to the words of the Director of the Health Center in Sremska Mitrovica, Nada
Zec-Petković, all patients who need to take their medicines through infusion can now do that in this health center, while those who can't will receive the therapy at home. The opening of such center has definitely improved the quality of work of the Health Center.
