- Advertising market in Serbia in 2008 was worth between 4 and 6m EUR - the Adviser for Electronic Operations, Dragan Varagić, said today (July 8, 2009).

He said at the seminar on Internet advertising of real estates in the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia that between 30 and 50% of that market are covered by the websites of media company "B92" and daily newspaper "Blic".

- Internet companies with the largest incomes in Serbia are: "Httpool", "Infostud" and "Krstarica" - said Varagić, who is also a professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad.

He said that major share of those incomes came from Internet advertising.

According to the data provided by the Business Registry Agency, advertising company "Httpool" registered 88.5m RSD worth of incomes in 2008, which is 80% more than in 2007, and the profit of 12m RSD.

"Infostud", the website dedicated to education and employment , registered 75.5m RSD worth of incomes in 2008, which is 2.2 times more than in 2007, while its profit amounted to 37.9m RSD.

Internet browser "Krstarica" registered 31.5m RSD worth of incomes in 2008, which is about 20% more than in 2007, while its profit amounted to 408,000 RSD.

According to the data provided by the Ministry of Telecommunications of Serbia, the most visited international websites in Serbia are: Internet browser "Google", social network "Facebook" and website for exchange of video contents "YouTube", while the most visited Serbian websites are "B92", "Blic", "Krstarica" and "Infostud".
