Company "Metal Sistemi" announced today (June 7th, 2009) that it had restarted production of industrial chains in Kragujevac and that it planned to deliver 17m EUR worth of goods to foreign markets.

The CEO and the owner of "Metal Sistemi", Dragoljub Radulović, said to the press in Kragujevac that the chains were sold in advance prior to year 2010 to the buyers in Russia, Germany, Bulgaria and Iran.

Production of industrial chains at full steam will start in September 2009, and the factory currently has 196 workers who have been receiving minimum salary over the last three months.

In mid-2008, "Metal Sistemi" bought the factory of industrial chains, which operated within public company "Filip Kljajić". Production, storage and administrative facilities at about 32,000 square meters are being built and refurbished in the location of former factory.

- There is no strong national team without strong clubs, and there is no economically strong Serbia without strong production companies in the country. Development of local economy and creation of real incomes based on the investments in production in accordance with the market's demands are the primary goals of "Metal Sistemi", which today has over 500 employees - says Dragoljub Radulović, the owner and the CEO of "Metal Sistemi".

Former factory of industrial chains "Filip Kljajić", now a part of "Metal Sistemi", had been among top five manufacturers in the world prior to the end of the 1980's, and it used to export more than 90% of its production, that is, about 30m DEM worth of goods on annual basis. Production has already started again, and the work at full steam is expected in September, as soon as the works are finished.

- There is no doubt that this is one of the largest investments in metal-processing sector, not only in Serbia, but also in this part of Europe, and it will definitely ensure better future for our employees and our partners with whom we contribute to economic development of Kragujevac and Serbia - says Radulović.

- With our previous activities, production of industrial chains will open the doors of international markets, from Western Europe to the Middle East.

In the location of former "Filip Kljajić", "Metal Sistemi" will unite all of its production and service activities: production of industrial chains, factory of processing equipment, transportation-storage systems and architectural-building bureau.
