
Russian "Gazprom bank" is often mentioned lately as one of the serious candidates for procurement of OTP bank in Serbia, while the idea is that the financial infrastructure should be created for the energy agreement between Russia and Serbia.
There were some indications concerning the arrival of "Gazprom bank“ in Serbia and they involved Belgrade-based "Univerzal banka“.
It is being speculated that OTP bank in Serbia is worth between 200
and 300m EUR. It was founded in May 2007 after the merger of "Niška“, "Zepter“ and "Kulska“ banks, which cost Hungarians over 160m EUR.
