(Telefonija's business building in Voždovac)
Strategic decision of the management of company "Telefonija" is to focus future investments on gas introduction and its subsidiary "BeotelNet". As the Finance Manager of this company, Radmila Ristanović, explains, the first incomes from gas introduction should be expected at the end of year 2008, while "BeotelNet" already registered 40% larger incomes in the first half of year 2008 than in the same period last year.
- In the first half of year 2008, "Telefonija" had 48% larger incomes than in the same period last year, and we plan to have consolidated income in amount of about 25m EUR at the end of year 2008. That is, approximately, 30% larger income than in 2007 –

Ristanović explained at the beginning of her interview for eKapija. She also pointed out that her task was to be real "money keeper" and to invest funds only in profitable projects.
o How much money has been invested in the projects in Serbia since the beginning of the year ?
- This year we invested 1.5m EUR and we plan to invest another 1m EUR by the end of the year. The first incomes are expected from the works on introduction of gas in Municipality of Subotica and in south area of Pančevo, which includes local communities of Starčevo, Omoljica and Ivanovo. We should realize the third phase of introduction of gas in local communities in municipality of Subotica in 2009, and we have also signed the contract for introduction of gas in Municipality of Kovačica – Ristanović explains the short-term plans of the company.

- We also invest much money in "BeotelNet“. The investments in that subsidiary of ours in 2008 amount to about to 500,000 EUR and we plan to invest another 0.5m EUR by the end of the year – says Ristanović.
When asked about the characteristics that someone who participates in the decision-making process for all these investments should have, she said that that person should be responsible, accurate, organized, able to work under pressure and, the most important of all, good accountant.
o What are the plans of "Telefonija“ in field of development of access telecommunications network, which used to be the basic field of work of the company?
- That will still remain one of the basic fields of work of the company, but the focus will also be on online services and accompanying services, gas introduction and infrastructure development.
