New President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD),
Thomas Mirow, will start his three-day visit to Serbia and Bosnia and
Herzegovina (BiH) on September 1st. This was announced today (August 27, 2008) on the bank's web site.
During
his first stay in Belgrade and Sarajevo since he was appointed the President of EBRD this summer, Mirow will have meetings with high
government officials of the two countries, business partners and international representatives.
As it is emphasized in the bank's announcement before his departure for Belgrade, Mirow's visit points to growing importance that EBRD attributes to strengthening of relations and cooperation between the bank and the countries of the western Balkans.
The President of EBRD will sign the agreement in Belgrade on approval of the loan in amount of 10m EUR to company Raiffeisen – Leasing, which will be used for financing of
development of small and mid-sized enterprises in Serbia.
