Overview

Odžaci municipality is located in the western part of Vojvodina, in the vicinity of the left bank of the Danube River. According its size, it belongs to a group of medium-size municipalities and covers the area of 411km². The Municipality of Odžaci is 130km away from the Belgrade Airport and Novi Sad is 70km. It includes nine settlements out of which, Odžaci settlement represents the administrative and economic centre.

Population

The Municipality of Odžaci has a population of 35,582. The majority population is Serbian, followed by Hungarians and Slovaks. Currently, there are 6,129 citizens registered as unemployed.

Economy

The most important branches of the economy are manufacturing and agriculture. The municipality’s industry is comprised of six branches: textile, chemical, metal, food-processing, construction material and printing industry. The oldest branch is textile industry dating back to the early 19th century, when it was famous for its hemp products. Crop growing and cattle breeding is widely spread.

Infrastructure

The existing infrastructure includes motorways M-3 and M-18, highway R-104 and local road L-411, which connects all settlements within the municipality. Danube River together with the artificial watercourses, primary DTD Canal, intersects its territory. The constructed port on the river Danube, next to the state borderline with Croatia, is of great importance.

Tourism

Besides Danube River, the Municipality of Odžaci has other interesting tourist spots intended for hunting and fishing, such as “Štrand” lake in Bogojevo. Odžaci settlement is known by its archaeological site “Crvenokosa boginja” (The Redheaded Goddess) dating back to the early Neolithic period, i.e. 7,000 B.C.

The site is directly connected with the county road M-3 and the DTD Canal is in the vicinity.

The site is not fully equipped with infrastructure / public utilities. Sewer supply system and gas pipeline connection are planned. There is a direct connection to the principal road.

Land lease is possible. The shortest possible time necessary for obtaining all the required permits and approvals is 60 days.

LOCATION 2

Site: Industrial zone, Srpski Miletić

Total area: 36ha

Type of ownership: Private property

Intended use: Production premises

Site description

The site is connected with the principal road M 3 and 9km away from the harbor. Croatian border is 9km away from the site.

Infrastructure

The site is not fully equipped with infrastructure/public utilities. Sewer supply system and gas pipeline connection are planned. There is a direct connection to the principal road.

Additional information

Land lease is possible. The shortest possible time necessary for obtaining all the required permits and approvals is 60 days.

LOCATION 3

Site: Industrial zone, Bogojevo

Total area: 26ha

Type of ownership: Private and state property

Intended use: Production premises

Site description

The site is connected with the principal road M-3 and 200m away from the harbor. Railway road runs throw the location.

Infrastructure

The site is not fully equipped with infrastructure / public utilities. Sewer supply system and gas pipeline connection are planned. There is a direct connection to the principal road and to the harbor.

Additional information

Land lease is possible. The shortest possible time necessary for obtaining all the required permits and approvals is 60 days.

LOCATION 4

Site: Industrial zone, Bački Gračac

Total area: 10ha

Type of ownership: State property

Intended use: Production premises

Site description

The site is connected with the principal road M-3 and 19km away from the harbor.

Infrastructure

The site is not fully equipped with infrastructure / public utilities. Sewer supply system is under construction. There is a direct connection to the principal road and to the harbor.

Additional information

Land lease is possible. The shortest possible time necessary for obtaining all the required permits and approvals is 60 days.
