(Jastrebac)
Municipality of Kruševac is the municipality richest with mineral and thermo-mineral waters in Serbia with 13 springs on 854
square kilometers. This was shown yesterday (July 2, 2007) by the study of the expert team of Mining-Geology Faculty in Belgrade.
- Kruševac has the largest density of springs, and the territory of north edge of Veliki Jastrebac mountain is especially rich with mineral waters and with sediment stones over 2 billion years old - said the team leader, a professor at Mining-Geology Faculty, Dejan Milenić, in the Town Hall of Kruševac.
At least five locations in the municipality meet legal criteria for spa tourism. At the end of the summer, this area will be visited by the representatives of Canadian, Italian and American embassies. Local self-government and Mining-Geology Faculty have signed the agreement on further cooperation on design of elaborate and presentation of potentials of subterranean waters in the Kruševac region.
