Representative of the Agency for EU Preadmission Funds, John Vojt, and representatives of 22 institutions and local self-governments, 19 of which from Vojvodina, have signed the contract on donations whose total value exceeds 1.8m EUR. The contract was signed in the presence of the State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance in the Government of Serbia, Slobodan Ilić.

- The institutions from Vojvodina got more than 1.3m EUR, which is the proof of the leading role of the province in the process of European integrations. Municipalities from north Banat obtained non-refundable aid of 285,000 EUR for protection from floods, while Public Company "Vode Vojvodine" received 73,000 EUR for the same purpose. Subotica obtained 80,000 EUR for construction of industrial park, whereas Municipality of Temerin received 110,000 for construction of innovation center. Secondary Economy School and TEchnical School in Sombor obtained 60,000 EUR each, while 30,000 EUR for promotion of tennis in Vojvodina has been allotted to Tennis Club "Palić" from Subotica - said Predrag Novikov, a member of the Executive Council of Vojvodina, who is responsible for application of these programs.

According to Novikov's words, the aid from the preadmission funds is going to be even bigger as Serbia is approaching European Union, so that those who needed aid and did not apply for it should think a while why they didn't do that.
