IKEA finally opens the first center in Croatia
Swedish furniture producer, IKEA, has opened this morning the first shopping center in Croatia, in Zagreb, media report.
The President of Croatia, Ivo Josipovic, Vice President of IKEA group Martin Hanson, Swedish Ambassador in Croatia, Lars Schmitt, the head of IKEA Croatia Dragan Skalusevic and IKEA Department Store Manager in Zagreb Georg Platzer attended the special opening.
Josipovic said the IKEA opening is a proof and a message to foreign investors that investing in Croatia is remunerative after all.
The shopping center construction on 30.000 square meters lasted for six years and a total of EUR 100 m was invested in it.
IKEA will be open every day10 a.m. until 8 p.m. except from Sunday when it will work until 6 p.m.
