After USA, Fiat wants to India as well
A this year’s car exhibition in Belgrade, Fiat announced cheaper car production for Chinese and Indian markets so that it could compete with similar Dacia, Peugeot, Volkswagen models.
These days, the way it did in America, Fiat actualized again its intention to expand to some other market and some other area, this time to Asia or more precisely India.
It was said that, based on the information which from time to time appear from Fiat, that the Indian market should see a redesign of punto which would be sold as a model from 2015 and “evo” would be added to the model name.
The new model would, as it has been often said, have new lights, front bars would have sports look,, car interior would not change or would to a small extent and the offer would comprise versions with four different engines. The smallest, petrol –driven one of 1,2 l with 68 horse powers, then petrol-driven of 1,4 l with 90 horse powers while multi jet turbo-diesel motor of 1,3 l would appear in options with 76 and 93 horse powers.
