'Banatski dvor' is ready before deadline - Gas storage to be charged by August 15
The company "Srbijagas" together with the Russian partners will fully charge gas storage "Banatski Dvor" until August 15, said the executive director for commercial affairs of "Srbijagasa" Dragan Vučur, noting that Serbia was among the first in the region to fully charge their gas storage.
Vučur told reporters at the conference "The importance of the Balkans to energy security of Europe" that "Banatski Dvor" will be filled well before the deadline, given that it is the regular dynamic of its charge - until the beginning of October.
Vučur specified that the storage capacity is 450 million cubic meters of gas and that Serbia was currently spending two million a day, while in the winter, in extreme cases, consumption can even be as high as 12 million cubic meters of gas per day.
- In accordance with the conclusions and recommendations of the Government of Serbia, "Srbijagas" together with Russian partners began intensive filling of "Banatski dvor" and somewhere around the 15th of August, the warehouse will be charged at maximum capacity - said Vučur, responding to a reporter's question how is Serbia going to cope in a situation of uncertain gas supply due to the complex relations between Russia, Ukraine and the European Union.
He pointed out that this was good news, but, on the other hand, "Srbijagas" was additionally burdened, because it had to pay for the gas earlier.
