Italy's Aunde opened a factory for producing car seats and interiors in Jagodina on Saturday (29 March 2014).

The factory was opened symbolically, with the cutting of a red ribbon, at a ceremony attended by former PM Ivica Dacic, Minister Aleksandar Antic, Italian Ambassador to Serbia Giuseppe Manzo, Aunde's co-owner Enriquo Verniano, and Jagodina Mayor Dragan Markovic-Palma.

Aunde Italia Group's investment is estimated at few million euros and is expected to result in the creation of hundred jobs for a start and another 200 later. Construction of this factory in the industrial zone on Corridor X was subsidized by the state with EUR 6,000 per newly created job and was carried out by companies from Jagodina and Serbia.
The factory has two floors and occupies a surface area of over 5,000 square meters.

Aunde employs 12,500 workers, operates 85 factories in 25 countries, and it has picked Jagodina because of good conditions offered by this town, a location next to Corridor X, and the vicinity of the Fiat automobili Srbija factory in Kragujevac.

An agreement to build the factory in Jagodina was signed 28 November 2012 in the Jagodina City Assembly, whereas construction works commenced June 2013.
