Hungarian-Austrian company SWR to invest EUR 100 million in use of geothermal energy in Vranje
Vranje Mayor Zoran Antic signed a cooperation agreement on March 14 with Johann Oskar Gangl, the director of the Hungarian-Austrian company SWR, it was announced on the website of the town of Vranje.
SWR, a company engaged in the use of geothermal energy, has picked Vranje to invest in because of the exceptional potential of this area.
The first phase will include a research work in Vranjska Banja spa resort, which will be followed by the construction of greenhouse heating systems and other facilities using renewables.
This EUR 100 million investment will secure jobs for 250 people for a start.
As the city management announced, SWR is also interested in investing in the completion of hotel in Vranjska Banja.
