Attracting German investors in Serbia - Munich to host large international business event on September 23

One of the biggest economy networking events will be held September 23 in Munich-based famous Allianz arena. Famous tax consulting company Ecovisfrom Germany is organizing a large world event where attendees will have the opportunity to directly discuss with 50 world experts. Alexander Samonig, General Manager of Ecovis ConFidas will present Serbia.

Samonig says that German Ecovis, as one of the market leaders in the field, with 1600 staff sent 15.000 invitations to German economy and that they are expecting a large number of people.

- We will present ourselves in Munich with adverting material in German because we want to motivate investors to come to Serbia. When we finish the first step and potential investor arrives to Belgrade and visits some of successful German companies, he will see his chances and opportunities. Real investor does not need extensive explanation because he knows exactly when an opportunity arises and therefore does not want to miss business expansion if offered serious opportunity. One of our motifs to appear there when companies are planning budgets for 2014 and to make them plan business visit to this country within that budget - Samonig says.

He adds that his company is aiming at bringing couple of serious investors from Germany to Serbia.

- German economic locomotion can be the key for development of our region in the next years if we want that. We are planning to, after our Rebec 2013 fair in October this year, organize Rebec SEE in Belgrade where we will invite Serbian businessmen as well. Generally, we are working on platform to connect economies and this time we are focused on German businessmen. We have to realize we need to have special and sensible approach when it comes to expansion of their business in Serbia.

Samonig also thinks that Serbia has many serious businessmen who are disciplined and professional.

He says that "not everything is in direct investments because a German in Serbia can provide his modern machinery, technology and material for classical jobs just like it used to be.”

- It is logical that we want to secure their business interest here. Our company in Serbia, Ecovis KonFidas, provides a whole range of services to German investors which could be much more present at this market than now, starting from legal and tax services, office space renting with complete telecommunication structure together with our partner, SEE offices even recruitment services so that they could focus on their business activities. It is important that all of us who are deeply involved in economy, do not disappoint or loose trust of our business guest from abroad because it can be a bad advertising for the whole country and economy. On the other hand, we should be maximum professional and provide business interest for both parties. Because, good experience in doing business with us will reach Germany. But bad one as well.
