EAR donates €31m for system for transport and storing of ashes in TENT Obrenovac, for filters in Steam Power Plant Kostolac and for oil separators in Kostolac B
EAR European Agency for Reconstruction will invest €31m in improvement of condition of environment in Steam Power Plants Obrenovac and Kostolac. By that, the problem of storing of ashes, which has been directly endangering lives of 18,000 citizens of Grabovac, near Obrenovac, for more than decade. Its harmful effects used to pollute the zone all the way to Belgrade.
Now, €25m will be invested in change of system for transport and management of ashes from Steam Power Plant TENT Nikola Tesla Obrenovac. Amount of €5.3m will be assigned to procurement of necessary filters, which will prevent unwanted harmful emission of dust, whereas, in Steam Power Plant kostolac B, plant - oil separator, which will stop the practice of poisonous liquids directly to the Danube river, will be constructed and its building will cost €350,000.
