- Gorenje Tiki started moving part of the production of kitchen boilers this month from Ljubljana to Stara Pazova in Serbia where the production was established in 2007 - Slovenian Delo wrote today (March 18, 2010).

People from that company say that that will not affect the number of employees in Ljubljana and that "the purpose of relocation is, primarily, reduction of costs and improvement of profitability that guarantee Gorenje's further development".

The unit in Stara Pazova will be producing low-capacity electric kitchen boilers of 5, 10 and 15 liters.

"In order to preserve the long-term product competitiveness of our own production, we are working for some time on moving the production of products with lower added value outside Slovenia", said the people in Gorenje.

By the way, Gorenje has its own production units in Czech Republic and Serbia.

People from this company confirmed in early 2010 that part of the production of combined refrigerators would also be moved from Slovenia to the factory in Valjevo.
