"Pepsi" bought Serbian manufacturer of snacks "Marbo Product"

According to the web site of the Business Registry Agency (www.apr.sr.gov.yu), US food company “Pepsi“ has become the owner of company for production of snacks “Marbo Product“.

It is stated on the web site of the Business Registry Agency of Serbia that the 100%-owner of “Marbo Produkt“ is company “PepsiCo Investments“ with the headquarters in Netherlands, which is a part of the US giant.

Company "Marbo Produkt", with the headquarters in Belgrade, produces salty snacks "chipsy", "pardon", "clipsy", "good" and "max", and, according to the data on the company's web site, “Marbo“, of which factory is situated in Bački Maglić, near Novi Sad, was founded in 1995, while its factory in Laktaši was finished in 2000.

The company deals with primary growing of potatos, production, distribution and delivery.

According to the data provided by the Business Registry Agency, "Marbo" realized profit in amount of 1 billion RSD (12.5m EUR) last year, which is 50% more than in 2006. Total incomes of the company in 2007 amounted to 4 billion RSD (about 50m EUR).

According to the press, "Marbo" owns companies in distributive centers in Croatia, Albania, Greece, Macedonia and Montenegro.
