The good news for the shoppingholics of Novi Sad is that the construction of another shopping mall in the city is being planned.

The new facility should be raised at the corner of the Jase Tomica Blvd and the Jove Hranilovica Blvd, and the investor will become known after the completion of the procedure of the sale of building land owned by the city, the city management says for our portal.

The Directorate of Building Land and Investments of Novi Sad has advertised the expropriation of the building parcels of 2,382 m2 and 1,740 m2 in this location, and, as the ad states, the requirement for the construction of the facility is the formation of a building parcel of the total area of 7,932 m2 from the parcels owned by the City and privately owned parcels.

– According to the planning documentation, this location is meant for the construction of a shopping mall with a second ground floor on a 7,932-m2 area – the city management explains. The parcels in question are undeveloped building land.

The local media wrote in early 2017 that the residents of the surrounding streets had complained over the fact that the area was undeveloped and overgrown with bushes.

The beginning of the construction of the facility, as well as the deadlines, as noted, depend exclusively on the investor, the future owner of the building land, which should become known after the public bidding, which will take place on June 22. Interested bidders may submit their bids by June 21, and the starting price of the land has been estimated at slightly over RSD 86.9 million.

As the city management adds, aside from its primary purpose, the future business facility-shopping mall allows for service, cultural, hospitality and administrative features as well.
