BK Tesla reported on Saturday, April 13, that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chinese state company MCC (China Metallurgical Construction Engineering Group).

The agreement, which pertains to the construction of three million square meters in Serbia, including the Tesla City, was signed by the director general of BK Tesla, Ljubica Vukotic, and the deputy manager of MCC for foreign cooperation, Chen Kuan, the press release says.

Chen pointed out that it was an important day, not just for Serbia and BK Tesla, but for the future cooperation of the two countries as well.

– I hope that today's signing of the memorandum will establish the foundations for further cooperation. Our company will stay in Serbia and we will continue to invest in numerous projects – Chen said.

MCC has existed for 50 years, operating in the fields of investment and construction.

The signing of the Memorandum is the beginning of the construction of three million square meters in Serbia, at first two million in Belgrade, and then a million in 25 districts of Serbia, said the president of the Managing Board of the BK Group, Dragomir Karic.

He emphasized in the press release that “the raising of the Tesla City will lead to many jobs for young people” and that the project would enhance and increase the production of construction materials.

The Tesla City is a program by the BK Group aiming to develop two million square meters of space and an architectural project reflecting the significance and importance of the geographical position of Belgrade, it is added.
