In 2018, German
retail chain Lidl is planning to open a
larger number of retail outlets in Serbia, one of which will be opened in
Pirot.
Mayor of Pirot Vladan Vasic at the session of the City Council proposed the
adoption of the Plan, which, among other things, anticipates construction of roads for the needs of Lidl,
according to the website of the city of Pirot.
The plan envisages that for this road 8 million will be set aside.
As stated at the website, there is currently no road to the land where facility
construction is planned.
as is the case of Subotica, where the city had the same needs Lidl to buy several parcels worth more than 15 million.
The land where
construction of public roads is planned is owned by the city and it is not
necessary to buy up private plots, as it was the case in Subotica where the city
had to, for the needs of Lidl, buy a few plots totalling more than RSD 15 m.
In Pirot, Lidl will be located at 22. Divizije Street, behind the Gazela banquet
hall.
