The state company Jugoimport-SDPR has become the owner of 96% of the Pancevo-based company Utva. The decision was made on February 28 as per the request filed five days before by SDPR to the Business Registers Agency, the Tangosix portal reports.

The co-owners of Utva are also the Development Fund of Serbia (3.182%), the City of Pancevo (0.519%), Higijena Pancevo (0.089%), Vodovod i Kanalizacija Pancevo (0.078%), Autotransport Pancevo (0.059%), Dunav Osiguranje (0.058%), Srbijagas (0.023%), the Municipality of Kovin (0.015%), the Municipality of Opovo (0.005%), Gradska Stambena Agencija Pancevo (0.005%) and the Municipality of Kovacica (0.004%).

Let us remind that Utva has been partially owned by the state company for the trade of weapons and arms industry products Jugoimport-SDPR for several years. Last year, the autonomous trade union of Utva called a general strike due to lateness in salary payments, as well as the fact that no contract with potential partners had been signed since the beginning of the year. Although the initiative for resolving the status of Utva and a strategic partnership with SDPR was initiated two years ago, the status is yet to change.
