The confectionery factory Banini is looking for a purchaser. The administrative receiver has opened the sale of Banini as a legal entity, and the interested parties will bid on 21 March, 2017, in Kikinda.

The most important pieces of property are industrial complexes 1 and 2 with production facilities, office space, an apartment in Kikinda, agricultural land, motor vehicles...

The accompanying equipment within the Banini 1 industrial complex has been split into three lines – the salty program, sticks and waffles. In Banini 2, the accompanying equipment has been split into five lines – crunchy and butter biscuits, sandwich biscuits (Noblice and Toto brands), tea biscuits (Domacica and Greta brands), industrial cakes and chocolate biscuits.

The starting price is RSD 1,859,888,947, and the deposit is RSD 743,955,579.

The deposit payment deadline is March 16, and the bidding will take place on March 21, at 10 am, in Kikinda.

The media earlier reported that Jaffa Crvenka was interested in the purchase.

Let us remind that the Commercial Court of Zrenjanin decided to sell the factory as it had been in bankruptcy since April 2016 at the request of the Societe Generale bank. The bank had asked to initiate the bankruptcy proceedings so that it would collect its claims of around EUR 15 million, having no other option of doing so.

The factory`s problems started in 2010 when it incurred debts with banks in order to raise a new facility in Teremijski Drum Street. High installment payments were soon due and only kept on increasing, and the factory incurred more and more debt, causing it to go into bankruptcy.

The factory`s account has been frozen in the amount of RSD 258 million since late 2016, and owners and managers Radojko Stanic and Branko Malencic have been charged with abuse of power for causing damage to the company and the state budget.
