The German pharmaceutical drug manufacturer Stada has received an offer worth EUR 3.6 billion from the private equity company Cinven.

The offer follows several years of attempts by Active Ownership Capital, one of the biggest owners of Stada, to improve the company's profitability. It is believed that the offer of Cinven amounts to around EUR 58 per share, Financial Times reports.

Neither Cinven nor Stada wished to comment on this.

Offers for Stada are also being prepared by Advent, Bain Capital, CVC and Permira, as reported by Seebiz.eu.

Stada is the biggest owner of Vrsac's Hemofarm.
