World Bank expecting economic growth of Serbia of 2.8% in 2017 – Only Croatian GDP to grow less of regional countries

The World Bank has reviewed the projection of the growth of the gross domestic product (GDP) of Serbia for 2017 up to 2.8%, which is 0.5 percentage points higher than the projection of June 2016, the new report on global economic outlook says.

As stated in the report on the World Bank's site, the estimates are that the growth of Serbia's GDP in 2018 and 2019 will be 3.5%.

The World Bank projects the total economic growth of 3.2% in 2017 for the Western Balkans, as well as 3.6% and 3.7% for the next two years.

It is also expected that global economic growth will moderately accelerate to 2.7% in 2017, after unfavorable trends in the past year.

Regarding the countries of the region, the World Bank believes that Croatia's GDP growth will be 2.5% in 2017, Bosnia and Herzegovina's 3.2%, Macedonia's 3.3%, Montenegro's 3.6% and Albania's 3.5%.
