Preparations for development of Republic Square begin – Technical documentation put in charge of Institute of Transportation CIP

(The Republic Square) The preparation of the technical documentation for the development of the Republic Square in Belgrade began in December, eKapija learns at the Belgrade Land Development Public Agency.

The square, as announced earlier, should only be available to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport vehicles. In order for these plans to be fulfilled, it is necessary to secure alternative routes for canceled traffic flows and reconstruct the surrounding routes. Above all, Makedonska Street and Kolarceva Street need to be expanded.

At the end of last year, the tender for the preparation of the technical documentation for the development of the Republic Square was completed, and the job was put in charge of the Institute of Transportation CIP. The contract was signed on December 6.

– The contractor was given access to the site in December 2016 and it began realizing the contracted obligations – the Agency says for eKapija.

The completion deadline period is 210 calendar days from the date of being given access to the site, and the net value of the contract is RSD 5.564 million. The job entails the preparation of the preliminary design, the preliminary project for the purposes of acquiring the decision on the approval of the construction works, the main project with a plan of preventive measures and the preparation of geodetic survey maps.
