Fiat produces 85,000 units in Kragujevac in 2016 – Same capacities expected in 2017

The factory Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Serbia (FCA) in Kragujevac expect a fully stable situation in 2017 and the production on the level it was in 2016.

– In 2016, 85,000 units were produced in Kragujevac, and we expect the same level of production in 2017, or possibly several units more – said Fabrizio Renzi, CFO of FCA Serbia, following the traditional holiday season meeting with media representatives.

This year, 1,800 vehicles of the types 500L Standard, Living and Trekking were produced in the local market, making up 2% of the total production.

When asked by the press when the production of the redesigned version of 500L was expected to start, Renzi said that there would be talk about it “when the time comes”.


– At this moment, we can't discuss the new model, but as soon as we get more information from the Turin central, we will notify the local public – Renzi said.

The Fiat factory in Kragujevac employs more than 2,400 workers.
