First CIJ commercial real estate awards ceremony in Serbia

On Wednesday, November 16, the CIJ awards were handed out for the first time in Serbia. These prizes, awarded for results made in the sector of commercial real estate, were handed out to the winners at the ceremony held at the Hyatt Regency Belgrade hotel.

Roberts Publishing Media Group (RPMG), the founder of the CIJ Awards and the leading source of digital and printed commercial real estate news in Europe, hosted the first awards ceremony in Serbia.

Nominations were being accepted until November 10, and they were made based on current market trends by the CIJ Awards partners, companies CBS International (CBRE Serbia) and expert associates Jones Lang LaSalle and Colliers.

The winners had been chosen among more than 60 nominees, voted for by 15 members of the expert jury and, to a lesser extent, based on online voting by a group of experts in the area of commercial real estate. The awards were handed out in 20 categories, organized by segments of real estate development, real estate leasing, real estate management teams, improvement of existing real estate and real estate transfer services.

The winning works in all categories will take part in the Best of the Best CIJ Awards Europe 2017 event, where the winners from eight countries of Central and Southeast Europe will present their activities.

This year’s awards have also been contributed to by the EPF (European Property Federation), partner of RPMG and CIJ, whose partnership is building a platform for connecting local companies to the European membership.

The CIJ Awards were initiated in 2001 and are the oldest commercial real estate awards institution in the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
