Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic announced on Sunday, October 16, that the first airplane of Turkish Cargo would land at the Nis Constantine the Great Airport on Monday.

During her tour of the construction sites on Corridor 10, she said that the Turkish Cargo airplanes would be flying the Istanbul-Nis route once a week. Those planes, as she specified, have a capacity of 1,000 tons of cargo.

Mihajlovic expressed hope that the introduction of the flights would open the possibility for companies from Serbia’s south to export 1,000 tons of their goods in the fastest way possible.

As eKapija announced earlier, the plan is for the first Turkish Cargo airplane to take off on October 17, whereas the regular route is to be established on October 31.

This is the first regular cargo transport line in the history of the Nis Airport.
