Telekom most profitable, Farmakom incurs biggest loss – See the list of top 100 companies in Serbia
The list of the top 100 business entities was prepared by the Serbian Business Registers Agency, based on analyzing and ranking the data related to 90,400 business entities by their operating success – revenues and net profit, by financial capacities – operating property and assets, and by losses – net loss and total loss.
Having incurred the greatest net loss (RSD 58 billion, compared to RSD 1.2 billion in the previous year), The Concern Farmakom MB Sabac AD Mlekara Sabac in bankruptcy has the dubious honor of placing first on the list of business entities with greatest net losses. This is mostly due to operating net losses, expenses arising from changes in accounting policy and various corrections (RSD 56.2 billion). As a consequence, the company made a great total loss at RSD 60.9 billion, which made it place fifth on the list of companies with the greatest total losses. At the same time, the number of employees, compared to 2014, dropped from 457 to 70.
Zelezara Smederevo also incurred a large net loss at RSD 17.7 billion, 54.3% more than last year, which caused it to place second on the list. PE Roads of Serbia placed third, having incurred a net loss of RSD 9.6 billion.
