Five-star Belgrade Marathon in 2017 - 30th anniversary race to be held on April 22

Thanks to the high quality of organization of this year's marathon, the European Athletics has awarded the Belgrade Marathon its topmost certificate – 5 stars for quality and safety of an event, the organizers reported and announced that the next year's 30th anniversary marathon would take place on April 22.

– All the preparations for the organization of the 30th anniversary of the Belgrade Marathon are going according to plan and in cooperation with numerous institutions and organizations which traditionally participate in organizing this complex event, primarily the Assembly of the City of Belgrade, which is also the sponsor of this event of special significance to the City of Belgrade – stated Dejan Nikolic, the director of the Belgrade Marathon.

According to him, this acknowledgment by the European Athletics is a great incentive and very timely as an announcement of the great anniversary.
