The Museum of Contemporary Art Belgrade (MCAB) announced that the reconstruction, adaptation and extension works on the museum had begun and should be completed in 269 days, i.e. by May 19, 2017.

The announcement says that the contractor is the company Termoinzenjering.

As the acting director of the MCAB, Slobodan Nakarada, said earlier, only the roof and the depots have been reconstructed so far. The works entail removing and mounting the facade, arranging the sculpture park and lighting and the renovation of cafes and restaurants.

The works cost slightly less than RSD 690 million, of which RSD 654 million is meant for the adaptation and reconstruction of the Museum.

The remaining amount of around RSD 35 million is meant for the building's technical security system, which will be installed by Smart Building Technologies as per the earlier announcements.
