Railway vehicle factory Gosa needs 50 new workers – Production of 54 freight cars in three months agreed
It hasn't always been that way, however. There were times when the employees were losing their jobs because there was nothing to produce and no one to work for. The factory has gone down from 1,000 to 350 employees.
The Slovakian factory ZOS Trnava has owned Gosa since 2007. They've repaid bank debts, modernized the production by introducing new machinery and helped in getting certain expensive, but necessary, certificates in order to remain competitive in the market.
The scope of operations following the privatization has increased nine times, and their parent company has employed them to produce 54 freight cars in the next three months. They have all the equipment necessary, but they need more people.
Gosa used to be world famous for its passenger cars, but they've shifted along with the trends to the production of freight cars.
The workers at the facility remember a time when three complete cars were being produced within 24 hours. The new employments and the new job give hope that such times will come back.
