NEW BUSINESS AND RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES IN BLOCKS 25 AND 26- BUILDING OF 350.000 SQM IN NEW BELGRADE

In the area of Belgrade Arena and Federation Palace in New Belgrade, in the Blocs 25 and 26, 350.000 sqm of the business and residential facilities will be built, announced yesterday Mr Djordje Bobic, the City Architect.

Mr Bobic said that this project is of the special importance and represents the capital job for the whole Belgrade. According to his opinion, by realization of this project the central part of New Belgrade will be disburdened, because this new built space will imply all capital functions that are appropriate to one city center.

The tender for general design and city planning for those two blocks has been finished, 40 works applied and the winner that has been chosen by the jury represents the groundwork of the program of the construction works.

-The construction of 350.000 sqm of business and residential facilities is foreeseen at this surface with 1,8 h of green public surface and squares, as well as the underground parking lots for 6.000 places. This new project is supposed to become the new "City" of New Belgrade, the new city center- precised Mr Bobic.

This construction works are made available by the official Decision about the general plan for construction works on detailed regulation in Blocks 25 and 26, that has been approved by the Assembly of the City of Belgrade at its last Session held in 2007, reminded Mr Bobic in his announcement.
