Delphi's second factory in Paracin? - City ready to build facility that Americans ask for

Thursday (28 April 2016) saw yet another meeting held with the representatives of the Delphi company to discuss the details of possible investment, that is, the start of production in the Paracin industrial zone.

Although Delphi has not yet made a final decision where they want to open their second factory in Serbia, the fact that they have visited Paracin for the eighth time proves their intentions are serious.

Sasa Paunovic, the mayor of Paracin, explains that this big investor is considering one more location in the vicinity of Novi Sad because it meets their requirements in terms of the proximity of suppliers and buyers and the existing factory in Novi Sad.

- When it comes to the location, Paracin has no advantage, but it does have a competitive edge in being able to build the requested facility exactly in line with Delphi's requirements because we practically have neither budget debts nor big loans. We are yet to see if we will be chosen - Paunovic said and underlined that the next meeting with Delphi was scheduled for the next wek.
