VUCIC: Privatization of Nikola Tesla Airport by year's end
Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic voiced his expectation today that the privatization of Nikola Tesla Airport would be finished by the year`s end, regardless of the selected privatization model. He told a press conference that the process of selection of privatization adviser was underway given that six applicants for the job had not been satisfied with the commission and asked for more money.
- We will now negotiate directly and look only for the best - the prime minister stressed.
As Vucic assessed, it is very likely to obtain a good price for the Belgrade airport concession, mainly owing to good business results of Serbia`s flag carrier Air Serbia whose home port is Nikola Tesla in Belgrade.
He announced that previous estimates were that the airport concession could cost EUR 100 million, adding that it was now expected to reach EUR 500 million.
