Daniel Berg - new EBRD head for Serbia
During his mandate, Berg will be in charge for business of the bank and EBRD will focus on strengthening the role and competitiveness of private sector, especially in agro business, banking sector strengthening, support in privatization, financial mediation, improvement of utility services quality and energy efficiency increase, it was communicated in the announcement.
Berg started operations in EBRD in 1995 as an advisor to the USA Board of Directors. He became head of the EBRD office in Kirgizstan in 2004, in Albania in 2007 and in Bulgaria in 2010. He was appointed the head of EBRD in Serbia after former head, Mateo Patrone was appointed the head of the office of the bank in Romania.
So far, EBRD has poured almost four billion euros through nearly 200 projects in Serbia.
